On July 20, 1969 a human walked on the moon, requiring individuals to challenge themselves to operate outside their comfort zones. Fifty years later, on July 20, 2019 a group of cancer survivors, with no previous rowing experience, took to the St. Joe River. Operating outside their comfort zones, they successfully completed their mission. An achievement to be proud of!
Special thanks to Terri Kralis-Koch for her dedication to ensuring the success of the Recovery Row on the St. Joe and to the members of South Bend Community Rowing who donated their time and energy. We would also like to thank local merchants for their support. And finally a big thank you to the participants who made Saturday a special day.
Also, farewell to our friend Alberto LoPinto, who is returning to Italy. We wish him the best of luck!
